Spring snows are here and they melt straight down into the earth. Even though we still have snow on the ground the earth under it is warming quickly. Joy, Joy, Joy. The cows in our neighborhood are popping babies, and the birds are getting really nuts. Even the trees are starting to show some life.

Our corner of the world is to be graced by a visit from Clinton, yuk  :^(

When things start to feel like they are out of control, they are, stay cool and take a breath, smile at a stranger and pay attention to someone who seems sad. Remember that you could be in their shoes.

Warm winter

Today was one of the warmest January days I have ever experienced here. It was 38 degrees. The snow is melting and the trees are trying to come to life. I predict an early Spring. The birds that don’t come till March are already showing up. Nature seems a bit out of kilter. The sun low on the horizon tells me that it is still winter but so many signs are telling me otherwise.

I am working at home today and football is on TV. It is snowing hard in Green Bay, WI for that game. The doggies are wanting to come in, so I better get out of this chair and greet them.

Winter time is here and the snow has come at last. We will definitely have a white Christmas. We got about a foot so far and the mountains sure need it. The wild life will suffer a little because the summer growth was so poor. But it will help for next years growing season. The roads around here are real slick, and the snow plows are not out much yet. In town they are real slow about plowing and we have to plow thru it before they get out and do something about it.
